Cares Act Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students
Pursuant to the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, Collier County Public Schools’ Immokalee Technical College (OPEID Number 04150800) signed and returned to the Department of Education the Certification and Agreement. The institution has used, or intends to use, no less than 50 percent of the funds received under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.

The method used to determine which students receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants was (a) full-time student enrolled as of the data of the CARES Act; (b) students enrolled in Post-Secondary Adult Vocational programs; (c) students were eligible to participate in programs under Section 484 in Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965. The initial amount of Emergency Financial Aid Grant each student received was $816.81.
Instructions, directions, or guidance was provided by the institution to students concerning the Emergency Financial Aid Grants via an online application. Such application requested information, such as but not limited to, data necessary for the institution to determine eligibility, confirm student’s contact information, and expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to coronavirus.
