At Immokalee Technical College, our mission has always been to give students relevant hands-on educational experiences to advance their careers and enable gainful employment. At iTECH, our professional educators know that not all students can effectively learn in a traditional classroom – especially when it comes to trades such as cosmetology. Therefore, students who want to acquire realistic salon experience before entering the job market need a college like Immokalee Tech. We encourage students to leave the classroom and gain practical cosmetology experience.

What Sets iTECH Apart?

One of the unique programs Immokalee Technical College has initiated is our on-campus, open-to-the-public storefronts. These storefronts include a childcare center, cyber café, medical office, auto service center, and cosmetology center. The goal of these public stores is to give students rigorous hands-on experience with real customers, gaining communication skills. Our college’s iSalon is our on-campus center for cosmetology in Fort Myers, FL, and is open to public customers every regular school day. Explore iTECH’s storefronts.

Another way iTECH is working toward its mission is to partner with active local businesses to give students a better chance of employment after graduation. All our programs have business partners who provide curriculum support, financial assistance, and networking activities. These partners “adopt” a program, generating internships and job shadowing opportunities. Our cosmetology partners also serve as professional speakers within the program and may even offer permanent job placements to graduates. At Immokalee Tech College, we strive to give students their best chance at gainful employment and career advancement.
