Financial Aid Sites

How to search for scholarships: DO NOT Google “scholarship!” Use TRUSTED sites that do not charge you for a search! Not every scholarship is looking for a 4.0 and astronomical test scores, really! There are many sources of aid available to the students who want to do a little bit of work!

Important information concerning the financial aid process:

Pell Grant/Supplemental Grant- Money from the Government that helps you pay for college. This does not need to be paid back if you finish your class. If you withdraw from class, you will owe the government the money back.

Florida Bright Futures- Does not pay 100% any longer. It is a per credit amount reduction in tuition. PLEASE talk to your guidance counselor about the Florida Bright program and go to the website REGULARLY to review your information and the rules/regulations as they change at least yearly, sometimes more frequently! The Florida Financial Aid application is available in December of senior year and MUST be filled out no later than graduation. This form is not only for Florida Bright Futures, but several other aid programs as well.
