Our fall Advisory Board Luncheon will be held from 12:00 noon until 2:30 on October 25th, 2010.  We will begin in the iTECH Conference Center, where Advisory Board Members will join our staff for a delicious meal prepared by students in our Culinary Arts program. After dessert and coffee, individual Advisories will adjourn to the classrooms and labs  for discussion and review of specific programs. 

Advisory Boards are very important to iTECH, because members have the career-specific knowledge to make recommendations that will help us prepare our students with up-to-date skills, and with the attitudes and habits required for success in their field.  We appreciate each and every Advisory Board Member for generously sharing your time and expertise to benefit the students of Immokalee Technical Center.

Beyond the Advisory Capacity

All programs have active business partners which will go beyond the advisory capacity. We envision businesses and/or associations "adopting" programs to serve as foundations for curriculum support, financial assistance, connecting activities (internships, job shadowing, speaking professionals in residence, etc.), and permanent job placement for graduates.
