Welcome! The Immokalee Technical Center will focus on state of the art career and technical education programs that will challenge adults to earn a vocational certificate from iTECH and an industry certification within their program field. Our technical center also offers dual-enrolled high school juniors and senior students the opportunity to begin and earn cedits towards certifications in most of our programs while still enrolled in high school. The center will also offer ABE/GED and adult literacy programs. Below is a brief description of each of the programs offered at iTECH, Immokalee Technical Center. |

Accounting is one of our programs within Business Technology. The Accounting Operations course will provide the student with accounting/bookkeeping employment skills. These skills include, but are not limited to: keyboarding; Microsoft Word , Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft PowerPoint National Certification, QuickBooks Certification, business math, business ethics, written and oral communication, filing, calculators, web design, sole proprietorship accounting, partnership accounting, merchandising accounting, corporation accounting, and automated accounting. | ||

Computer Systems Technology The Computer Systems Technology program is designed to provide real world relevant training. In the program students receive training on hardware and software for multiple types of personal computers. Included is training on operating systems by Microsoft, Apple and the Ubuntu distribution of linux. The training covers from basic to advanced concepts dealing with setup, configuration, maintenance, optimization, troubleshooting, and repair. |

Multimedia Digital Design Technology The Multimedia Design program focuses on producing the conceptual, technical, and visual design skills required to create multimedia applications and environments. Architectural Drafting Technology The Architectural Drafting program focuses on producing the conceptual, practical, and professional skills required to create presentation, construction, and design drawings associated with the professions of architecture and engineering. |

CNA The iTECH Nursing Assistant program focuses on producing an excellent nursing assistant who is ready to take and pass the Florida Certified Nursing Assistant exam – (C.N.A.), and to function well caring for the elderly resident in a long-term care facility or an assisted living center or even in the client’s home. |

LPN The iTECH Practical Nursing program focuses on producing an outstanding practical nurse who is ready to take and pass the NCLEX-PN (Nursing Council Licensure exam – Practical Nurse, and to function well in a broad variety of nursing settings caring for adults, children and the elderly. Over 50% of the program is clinical. |

Cosmetology This course will provide clinical experiences necessary for the development of skill required to be a competent cosmetologist. The allocation of time to the various phases of cosmetology is prescribed by the Florida State Board of Cosmetology. This course includes portion of the hours required for the licensure. Topics to be covered include: permanent waving and relaxers, hair color and bleaching, skin scalp and hair treatments, haircutting, styling dispensary, manicure/pedicure/nail techniques, reception, safety precautions/decontamination, Hazardous Duty Standards Act compliance, advanced styling and hair shaping, industry concepts, and exposure to a salon setting. |

Heavy Equipment Mechanics The Heavy Equipment Mechanics (HEM) program focuses on producing atechnical skill’s foundation that will prepare a student to maintain, diagnose and repair all associated heavy equipment systems. In addition, parallel skills associated with Heavy Duty Trucks will be mastered with the objective of successful completion of ASE Certification on T2, T4, T6, and T8 examinations. Students will be able to practice and continue to develop their skills with practical application on current production diesel engines, transmissions, buses and motor grader. They will be proficient using web based service software, ordering parts, and creating reports of service work accomplished. |

GED Immokalee Technical Center’s GED program is designed to prepare students to pass the GED examination and earn their high school diploma. Florida State certified teachers instruct students in reading, language arts, essay writing, science, social studies, and mathematics using curriculum approved by the Florida Department of Education. |

Storefronts include: a cyber café and full restaurant, a practicing medical office, an automotive service center, a childcare center, and a cosmetology center. The storefronts will serve several purposes. They will allow students to get direct training with customer service to provide soft skills training. They will also act as a conduit for marketing to future students by attracting them to the retail centers. |
